The Fastrack bus network is designed to link new developments in the Kent Thameside Regeneration Area around Dartford and Gravesend, and it makes extensive use of bus-only roads, bus lanes and other bus priority measures. The first route, B, commenced in 2006 between the Temple Hill Estate in Dartford and Gravesend, serving the massive Bluewater Shopping Centre en-route. It was also rerouted via Ebbsfleet International Station upon its opening in November 2007, and has since been rerouted to serve new developments in the Springhead area of Northfleet. The second route, A, commenced in 2007 and links Dartford with Bluewater via new developments to the north of Dartford. It will be extended to Ebbsfleet International via the Eastern Quarry area of Swanscombe as the area is redeveloped. Future plans include a new route C, which will run between Dartford and Gravesend via Swanscombe Peninsula and Northfleet Embankment as these areas are redeveloped.
